To help celebrate OzarkCon 2009, special event station KØN will be on the air again this year. Station Master
Bart Lawson, WØIIT, has obtained permission to use the special event callsign again this year.
KØN will be operating from the conference on 7040 KHz CW and will be looking for contacts from both inside and outside
the hotel. KØN will be spotted on the Four State spotting page QRPSpots.com (over 11,000 hits).
The DUMMY LOAD QSO PARTY is on again for third consecutive year. Be sure to bring along a portable rig, a dummy load and some QSL cards. There will be a fun operating event at the
Stonecastle to make some QSO's on a dummy load. Suggested operating frequency is around 7040 KHz CW.
Make a QSO with KØN and bring your QSL card to the station to be entered into a special prize drawing!
Need an effective dummy load for the contest? The OzarkCon Dummy Load Special Antenna will increase
your signal strength over a "normal" dummy load.. Check it out here.
The hotel apprears to be of wood construction with vinyl siding. So bring your indoor antennas and work some "DX".
Stay tuned - Bart will be making another announcement soon, look for it right here. Scroll down for pictures.
