This is one of the most attractive paddles that I've ever seen. Dennis Burton, N5DRB crafted this and many
other paddles, in 2005 and 2006. He's stil at it and is taking a collection of paddles to OzarkCon 2008. A collection of his paddles won first place in the homebrew contest at
OzarkCon 2006, and the Excaliber was one of those in the display. Dennnis is a fine craftsman whose metalworking skills,
particularly polishing, carried over from earlier projects.
The Excaliber's build date is 4/10/2006, The base is Corian counter top material that's been hollowed out underneath and filled with lead. The build date is stamped in the lead.
Dennis stamps his name on the paddles arm's as well as on the bottom. Using Corian as the base material allows a wide range of colors and patterns for Dennis'
paddles. Please observe the highly polished levers and posts, and also the uniquely shaped finger pieces. These features combine to make these custon built paddles collectors items. .
